One of the nation’s most recognized and trusted weather forecasters, Janice Huff serves as Chief Meteorologist for NBC 4 New York, delivering weather reports for the station’s 5 p.m., 6 p.m. He has served in the NWA Board of Directors since 2020 and as the Treasurer since 2021. He uses that information to promote resilient building to reduce damage from future disasters.īryan is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences with a focus on Operational Meteorology. In collaboration with engineering experts, Bryan has surveyed damage from many disasters, including Hurricane Michael, the 2016 Louisiana floods and the 2013 Moore, OK EF-5 Tornado, as well as chasing hail storms in the Plains, to understand why buildings fail in times of catastrophe. Prior to joining AMIG in 2020, Bryan worked in Assurant’s Global Housing team for 13 years helping banks and mortgage companies manage their risks to Natural Hazards. He is a severe weather expert who is requested to speak on the intersection of storms, damage and the economics of catastrophe loss.
